January 8, 2021This week I completed the final pages in magazine on Canva, I then printed out my magazine from Canva and placed it into a presentation book to give it the effect of an actual magazine. I also completed questions for the part II of the final presentation. Next week I will write the self reflection as well as start my slide show.
December 23, 2020For this week I continued working on filling in the pages of the magazine with my boutiques information. This week I had a bit more time at home to compete more pages such as the catalog which was a bonus. I completed the section on how to choose a building and what I turned the I building I chose into to match my boutiques aesthetic. On every page mainly I try to give at least on helpful tip or recommendation for anyone else trying to start a boutique or really any business in general!
December 18, 2020My focus this week like last week was to fill in the information of my magazine. Over the past few days I’ve focused on the brands I chose for my boutique and what to consider for new boutique in the making which can be found on the “when choosing brands page”. I then went into deeper description of Adora, Dear-Lover, and Heir Raleigh and why I considered them for my boutique in the making.
December 10, 2020This week with my magazine all formatted out to what sections will hold what information I finished pages one and two which go into depth on the name and why created my boutique while page two talks about modern southern style. I also began working on page three which is what to consider when choosing brands for your boutique. Below are the first pages of my magazine.
December 3, 2020For this week I started thinking about what my final product would be for my boutique and I decided that I would do a magazine based on owning a boutique. I began a doc to help me determine what pages were going to be what topic and how the whole thing would be layed out. Later in the week I went on canva and designed the pages with titles and photos to continue my work next week to hopefully finish about half the information in the magazine.
November 19, 2020For this week I focused on designing my catalog for my boutique, I used the app Canva to complete my catalog. The brands in my catalog are wholesale brands which are the easiest to buy from for boutique owners. I used wholesale brands such as Dear-Lover, Heir-Raleigh, Adora, Miamishoes, and Faire. Posted below will be images of my catalog!
November 11, 2020For this week I took a bit more time to perfect the live model of my boutique by changing some things around to fit the aesthetic I was aiming for. Most of my week I took to begin my final product which is a google slides presentation set up to act as a pitch for my boutique and goes in depth as to what my boutique is all about to draw in my customers! Posted below will be my presentation/pitch. Each week I will take some time to continue to update my pitch in creative and fun ways to draw those future customers in!
November 05 2020For this week i focused on the name portion of my business by using the video provided by the Franklin and Rose account I decided on naming my boutique Maiolo & Company. I chose this name because I realized the style of my boutique was more styles of women in the south, which always resembled my grandparents farm which I grew up around. My grandparents last name is Maiolo the company addition is to recognize my aunt, uncle, and cousins who also help on the farm. After choosing the name I began making my log as well as business cards using crave which will be posted above. Once I found the style of logo and business card I went back into my model in Live Home 3D and changed the wall color to match the style.
